The business you now know as the Australian Small Business Centre Pty Ltd started its life as a mentoring and consultancy service under the name of Guardian Angels Consultants. That name was chosen as a result of a belief held by principal, Maggie Richardson that every person needs a mentor at some stage of their life. As she has a passion for business she took on the role of Guardian Angel for those who were at a cross roads in their lives but in particular those who were about to, or had just started in business.
As a result of Maggie’s passion for business and a perceived need for information she wrote the book
Starting a Business in Australia which is now in its second edition. As a result of the popularity of her book and a need to create more focus in the business, the role of personal mentoring was left under the name of Guardian Angels Consultants and the business focus was transferred to The Australian Small Business Centre Pty Ltd. With the change of name came an extension of services to help business survive and grow. These include training in business management, professional business plan writing as well as ongoing business support under the banner of business coaching and products that assist with business success e.g. books, e-books, starter packs, domain and website hosting.
