Your first step to business
success is to ensure that your partnership agreement is well thought out and
well written. You are creating a legal document that will govern how your
business will operate so we take you through the issues you need to
address and ensure that they are included in your agreement. This agreement
will be applicable to most partnerships however if you have some unusual
aspects to your business e.g. overseas partners you may have to clear those
points with your legal advisor.
You will need to sit with your
partner/s and discuss the issues and come to many decisions with relation to
how you are to run your business - so think about the ramifications of each and
then set it in place as we have shown you.
The notes are designed to help you understand your
agreement. If you are well prepared you can move through it quickly
however you are advised to take as much time as you need. This is an
important legal document and you need to understand what you are signing.
